Bringing an Incredible Educational Resource to our Valley
Our vision to establish a natural science education center for students in our valley began in 2005 with the decision by Oscar and Argie Tang to gift a remarkable piece of land in the heart of the Eagle Valley. Since that time, we have worked diligently to develop exciting plans to serve the educational interests of the children and adults in our community. In the last year we have met with local leaders to share our vision and their response has been overwhelming.
With these steps we are moving closer to building a campus that will:
- Expose every one of the students in our valley to field-based, natural science programs that are aligned with their existing science curriculum standards, many times throughout their academic careers.
- Train graduate students and K-12 teachers to enhance their skills in delivering high quality science education.
- Engage residents of and visitors to our community with speaker series, seminars, and life-long education programs.
- Host visiting professors and conduct field studies and research that will contribute to everyone's quality of life and ensure that our programs remain cutting edge.
With your support, we will create a cornerstone that establishes our valley as a leader in field-based natural science education, scientific research and environmental stewardship. Please join us in working toward this vision by scheduling a tour or stopping by to discuss ways that you might become involved.
